1. Who will ride: skateboarders, skaters, cyclists or everyone ?
2. What elements must be included in the skatepark, and which will be optional ? You can establish some kind of list (hierarchy of importance).
3. How much space for the skatepark, what is the size of the square ?
4. Will it be a new square or some can be adapted for a skatepark ?
5. If it is an existing square, what is the surface (preferably concrete) ?
6. Where will this square be located ? According to the provisions of the construction law, objects of this type should be located at least 10 m from residential buildings, road, parking lots, etc.
7. In what technology will the skatepark be ?
8. Will there be the purchase of only elements or will it be a larger investment such as a square + elements ? In the second case, if a larger facility is built, then you will need a building permit and other documents. 9. Before designing it is good to know the approximate budget that the City / Municipality wants to allocate for the skatepark, so that during the design the imagination of the designer and young people does not develop too much. This is because the company must prepare a cost estimate and it may turn out that the VALUE of the skatepark IS LARGER THAN THE CITY/MUNICIPAL ASSUMPTION. In that case, the city will run out of money and will not build the skatepark (and on top of that, for example, the money will be lost in the next budget year).
10. After determining the concept of the park, it is imperative that the company prepare a model specification for the construction of the skatepark, so that, for example, it does not turn out that the park will be covered with plastic, nailed, etc.
11. Very important in the design and subsequent construction is the experience of the contractor - references, the number and quality of skateparks made.

Pumptrack as part of consultation and design

During the public consultation, it is also worth raising the topic of pumptrack, which is increasingly emerging as a natural complement to the skatepark. Pumptracks attract a much wider group of users - from the youngest children to adults - and increase the accessibility of the facility for people on bicycles, scooters, rollerblades or skateboards.
